Toddler sleep habits

Every since we got Soli her toddler bed she has been sleeping in it very nicely. With the exception of the week she was sick, she stays in her bed until morning. In fact, yesterday morning I woke up to find her already awake sitting up in her bed. She informed me that she had gone "pee pee" and even "wiped and flushed". This was fantastic news, considering she usual has to have company.

Unfortunately, last night was an exception to her fantastic sleep habits. She came into our room at 1 am. I woke up from where I was halfway on my back, to find Soli on my belly (the bottom part, so no smooshing of Baby Alex) holding of all things, her pink cowboy hat. She was also not wearing a diaper, but still had her pajama bottoms on. I asked her what she did with her diaper, she said she threw it in the trash. I felt her neck to see if she was warm, and she was fine. I woke up Marty and he put her back to bed. At 1:30 I heard the door open again. I picked her up and put her back to bed. 1:45, creak of the door. Marty got up to put her back to bed. I suddenly remembered that we had discussed before getting the new bed what we would do if this sort of situation ever arose. I told Marty to tell her that if she gets up again we will put her in her crib. 2:00... here comes Soli. She stood there by my side of the bed. I got up and she raised up her arms, ready to be put back in bed. I picked her up and said, "I'm going to put you in your crib now". She said okay and I put her to bed in her crib. There she stayed nicely until we got her at about 6:30. She was still fast asleep.

I asked her this morning why she kept getting up, she said, "There were bees in my room". I explained to her that there aren't actually any bees in her room, and that she probably had a bad dream.

I still don't know why she had her cowboy hat. Maybe she was using it to shoo away the bees?
